Hi Bonnie, I have been right where you are many times, two things that have helped me come to mind. Lithium 300 mg 2 or three times a day, prednisone (terrible drug to tolerate) start at 80 mg day then taper(many ideas about the taper deal) of the two prednisone will have a quicker effect, some dr,s freak at 80 mg prednisone, I lived through it.
