Dear Sir:
Please understand that the message board area is designed for those of us who have no where else to turn to release our misunderstood disorder.
Therefore, we rant, rave, carry on, curse, argue and even fight. We also joke, laugh, play, and sometimes even get a bit crude. But, inbetween, there is also comforting, sharing, consulting, supporting, loving, and down right life saving messages mixed in as well.
If you wish to truly know what Mike is going through, please take the time to look through the links provided on the left side of the home page.
This is a very serious disorder, it is not just a bad "headache" keeping an employee home from work. Mike, and all of us here wish nothing more than to find a way to beat this disorder and return to our normal lives. In the meantime, to try to find peace, validation of our sanity, and support for the quickest way to recovery, we come here and share with each other. The pharmecutical world is not interested in us (not enough clientle), and the doctors do not have enough education and background in this disorder.
If you judge Mike's condition by what you read in the message board's, please take the time to read the posts from people who are reaching out for help and the responses. You'll see this is not just a fun and games place. Please do read the links on the home page. Thank you for your time.

It does take some time to find the right doctor. After 5 years, I finally found the right Neurologist myself. She just got back from vacation, and my wife called today. 15 minutes later she called back and asked if there were any problems. (I've gotten 3 return calls in 4 years fom my PCP!). Anyway, Annette told her about my wild attacks over the last 2 weeks, and she shuffled some patients around and said to get my butt in there tomorrow (guess that's today now)!
It's sad, but all to true, just go to keep searching and searching and ..... until you finally can find that doctor who can help.
