Title: Kerboom.
Post by George_J on Feb 20th, 2008, 12:24pm
While looking around on Liveleak to see if there were any more videos of the big fireball that lit up the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday morning ( http://www.kptv.com/news/15340521/detail.html ) I ran across this stunning CG animation of the effects that a planetoid-sized asteroid would have if it struck the earth.

Just another Ragnorak to fret about.

My son lives in Spokane.  He called me last night and said on his way to school, he saw a meteor flying through the sky, then Boom!

I was wondering if anyone else who lives in the Northeast saw it.

Well George, that may be just the thing to cure our cluster headaches, don't you think?  (Only kidding, I did watch the video--I thought the crustal tsunami was kinda cool, er hot.

Wishing you well,

Ray
