a basic computer logic gate can only essentially add 1 + 1, so all more complex functions such as subracting, multiplying, division, and even converting a given number to it's equivalent trigonometric or logarithmic function has to be simplified to 1+1. Doing stuff like this is not the cause of CH's, but gives one a rather dull personality.
