I started on 75mg per day for a week, had no side effects (25mg morning 50mg at night). 2nd week increased dosage to 150mg (50mg morning 100mg night) no side effects.
Pain stopped almost instantly. I've been in remission for about 2 years now with only occasional break-throughs. (an occasional HA now and then that has to be treated with O2/cafagot or more than just "wishing").
Before the topamax I was almost a total invalid, had no life to speak of, very seldom got out of the house and could not go to work at all. Since topamax - I am human again. I highly recommend that anyone at least give it a try.
