has to be the ability to rule OUT things. And I think you are pretty safe in ruling out cluster headaches, from what we've seen reported here by sufferers. Nausea is not common with cluster sufferers, yet it is with migrainers. Very different syndromes. Cluster headaches quite often wake the sufferer up with an attack. Is this happening for him? Waking up hungry or being able to chase an attack away with food isn't a common trait.
We do want to help, Sharon, and we really hope he doesn't have cluster headaches. I can't help but wonder if maybe he's getting stress headaches, especially if they are hitting him repeatedly during math class?
I'd sure document each headache he gets, what relieves it for him, what he's eaten before the attack, etc. etc. and take your findings to a new doctor. And keep searching the internet for clues and symptoms that match what your boy is going through.
I hope you find some answers soon!
