Ice-pick headache

This condition is known medically as an "idiopathic stabbing headache." It produces a sudden, brief stabbing sensation anywhere in the scalp or even in the eye. The stab may be isolated or occur repeatedly for a few days. It's not a serious condition and is most common in people who are also migraine sufferers.
