Dave: You and I have the same MO. I've always had my CHs in my left temple and they progress exactly as you describe. Some things that work for me are Imitrex, an ice pack on my temple and a heating pad on my left shoulder and neck. I usually try to watch a movie or sports to keep my mind off how much time is passing.

You have definitely come to the right place for moral support. I've only been on this site for a few days and I feel like I have a new group of friends. Whether you are in the middle of an attack and feel like the world is going to end, or you've been pain-free for a couple of days, post and there will be someone here for you.

Hang in there. I know the pain is horrible and there are times you just would rather die. But no matter how long it lasts, it ALWAYS goes away and each minute that passes is one more closer to the end of the pain.

God Bless You.
