Verapamil has fewer side effects for most. But as you know all people are different. Prednisone and other steroids really take a toll on the body and are habit forming. I had a friend who's niece liked them a lot and at the time I had a dog I gave prednisone to and Becky told me not to tell Stephanie that I had them. Donald takes the verapamil(daily) and Neurontin (as needed). He has done some steroids but lots of side effects.
