Here I am venting again! Drove two and a half hours each way to see a neuro yesterday. Instead, at the university hosp, I got to see a resident instead. The neuro never did come to see me and the resident was clueless. I have been having 3-5 ch per day for the last week and a half and so he gave a new regime to try and break the cluster, Epival and large doses of prednisone. But he told me that for immediately pain relief, I should take advil. Can you believe that.
So I called the neuro back today, he told me that if I need pain relief, I should go to my hospital every time I get a HA and get an iv of dhe. The hospital here will really love that idea. By the time the hospital gets around to treating someone with a HA, the HA is gone anyway. I'm so damn frustrated right now. How can these doc's be so insensitive and uncaring is beyond me. Thanks for listening to me vent again!! At least someone understands what this is all about.
