I finally found a doctor who may have figured out what these headaches are. I spoke with him yesterday and am going to see him this afternoon. I have read about clusters and it matches my symptoms completely. Though, part of me is still hoping that it is my sinus infection causing it. My big question is, "Do I have any hope of getting significantly better?" Will i have to deal with this the rest of my life or can people grow out of it?
After reading the main page to this site, I got very afraid. I know this is controlling my life right now but can I gain control of it. I started getting these about 5 years ago and was treating it as a sinus infection. The first 2 tears I had it, antibiotics got rid of them. Then I started to get them on a more regular basis and nothing helped. I was taking prednozone which seemed to work the first time around but not the second. I was taking hydrocodone and that was working but I am now resistant as all it does is make me nauseous. Right now, I am taking way too many percocets and I know that may lead to a road of destruction.
But what choice do I have. Is there any way to lead a normal life with clusters or am I just panicing?
