Linda,
you do not give too many details in your post. I do not know if your kids are babies, or what. It really makes very little difference tho. I have had chronic clusters for almost 4 yrs, have 2 kids, and over the years have been on a variety of narcotics (which fioricet is not BTW)you need to be careful when you first start taking it until you know how you react to the meds, but it sounds as though this is not a new drug for you. the caffeine in it makes me more alert, not less. Your husband has simply found someone who agreed to say what he wants to hear. You need to find a dr who will support your position. you also need to consider other medication options .have you tried imitrex injections or nasal spray, or maxalt (which dissolves under the tongue? Also, have you tried acupuncture? I get both Ch and migraines. My CH do not respond to anything so far, but the migraines did respond to a few things, including acupuncture (immediately) I no longer even worry about them. Pain killers are not your best bet. I too have horrible nausea problems with the migraines. Try phenergan suppositories, they can help, but again they can be sedating. Esgic (fioricet) is a notorious cause of rebound headaches, so you may be harming yourself more than helping. Email me if you have any questions, or if you just want to talk. I am in the middle of a divorce as well, but not quite as ugly as yours seems to be.
