I have my clusters at night, two a night. I can tell time by them. At around 7PM I get all the signs that tell me, the night will be long and painful.
I can get pain pills but no Imitrex. I work with small children; I cannot be on any type of painkiller. I have been looking for another Doctor, but the Doctors I have called, have a two-month wait. My cycle will be over by then.
I have read where Imitrex works fast for some of you. My clusters last an hour to two hours. There have been nights I wondered if they will ever end. Bob (my husband) he is very supportive, he has a job that also requires his mind to be clear. I have a place I go to in the house. I walk in circles, till my legs feel like rubber, I am careful not to wake him, I like to be alone when I hurt. The few he has seen frighten him, I can see it in his face.
