I had the same bad reaction to Stadol NS... thought it made me feel worse than the CH. Yes, you do need a script for medical O2, but not for welding O2 (they come from the same place though).
It's relatively cheap if you have to buy your own $12-$15 for an E size fillup. If you have to buy a tank, the price varies. I bought an E size tank with 15 litre/min regulator, for $30 on E-bay, but that's not the norm.
