I have also used Nubaine. Once the Dr. gave to to me instead of demoral. It took away the pain but made me feel like climbing the walls. This is a narcotic. If you respond well to these shots you might want to try what works for me. I have hooked up with a Anesthesiologist who runs a pain clinic. I had chronic clusters about 4-5 a day each lasting 3 hours and each at a 10 on the kip scale. After trying most of the more covention treatments in various combinations and dosages. ie. Lithium, sansert, verapamil, depakote, imitrex, oxygen, local injections, dhe, so on and so forth with some but not enough help. This doctor stared me on small daily doses of methadone increasing each week for about 2 months. Prior to this I wasn't able to work almost 5 years. In 2 months I was working 70% of the time and continue after 2 years to keep it up. I know many on the board feel that opiate therapy is not a good one. But for me it is a lifesaver. I have little side effect. The worst being constipated and it does not hurt the liver, stomach etc like so many of my previous meds. My Dr. says even if I used it the rest of my life it would do little if anything to shorten my life span. No I am no a ravinf addict. I have missed up to 3 days of meds just plain forgetting to take them because they make mee feel no different hen usual other then drasticaly reduce the number of attacks. Email me if you want more info. If the narcotic Nubaine helps you a lot this may be worth checkin out thanks Mike L.
