My recliner is almost worn out from many years of use. It has a broken footrest propped on a stool, a couple of burn marks from cigarettes dropped, and at least one cup of coffee that I can't wash out of the upholstery.(Does anyone else fall asleep drinking coffee as I do?)
But it is so comfortable. It is large and extra soft with just the right amount of pillow in the headrest.
During a CH cycle it is a real treasure for me. Unlike the poster who gets relief from pressing his neck and back of head against a coke bottle, I can easily intensify the pain level by letting my head touch anything - even the recliner pillow. But there is a way to position myself so that the right side of my head does not touch the chair, and I am able to get a couple of hours sleep between attacks.
I would have difficulty finding a new chair that was so perfect for me. I have placed it in a spare room with doors so I can read in peace and fall asleep if I want to. That is my most valuable material possession - my recliner.
