Riccardo, everything that you'll probably want to do is within walking distance of the Monte Carlo. If you want to take a bit longer of a trip, you can get a taxi VERY easy.
I've gone to Vegas for 4 days and NEVER even left the resort that I was staying at! Lots and lots of stuff to do.
Don't waste your money on a car!!!
