I am so glad to have found a site like this. I have suffered from clusters for the past 12 years. I too can say it must be hereditary because my father suffered from clusters for years. His has since ceased in his latter years. The funny thing is my mother asked me the other day if I thought I got a curse, because when I was a kid at home I use to think my father was crazy when he was having a attack and thought he was making it up. So I don't know maybe it is a curse and a horrible one at that. My cycle this time around seems to be lasting a little longer than any of the other times. Usually 5 weeks maybe 6, but now I am into my 7th week and still really no relief. I am becoming depressed and worried. My job is somewhat in jeopardy now due to the length and intensity of my attacks. I seem to be getting them twice in a night. I generally wake up around 1 or 2am and it last for a hour or so and then again as I awaken for work. Anyway, I just wanted to share a little with all of you and hope that someday soon this all comes to a end.
