Here is the info from my book, Headache Help--
"Radiofrequency trigeminal rhizotomy kills trigeminal nerve fibers involved in pain conduction,
but sometimes the procedure must be repeated to be effective. A specialized
technique, the surgery is conducted primarily at the Houston Headache Clinic under the
supervision of Dr. Ninan Mathew. Retrogasserian injection of glycerol is a
new and promising technique as well."
