Last cycle I used Depakote and Amerge. Amerge is a dirititive of Imitrex. It takes about an hour to start working but the relief last for about 6 hours. I used Amerge to schedule when I wasn't going to have a headache. For examole when I went to work or when I went to bed. This would at least allow 2 six hour periods that I knew I would be headache free. Limit is 2 per day. Then I used Imitrex at 2ml. ( 1/3 normal dose) when I had the CH's during the rest of the day. I don't know if it was the Depakote, the Amerge or what but my last cycle only lasted 2 months. For 26 years they have been lasting 3 - 4 months. Whatever your doc gives you, remember it has worked for some of us but not for all of us. Keep trying to find something that works for you. If your doctor won't cooperate, find another doctor.
