Nicholas, please don't take this wrong, but are you sure you have clusters? The symptoms you have described in earlier posts, and this comment about how you deal with your headaches, sound much more like migraines, albeit extremely painful ones.
This is a very critical distinction for you to explore. Migraines and clusters, although sharing some common traits, are very much different from one another. Effective treatments vary widely. Please be careful...clusters seem to be the latest 'diagnosis d'jour' for docs who can't or don't care to make the appropriate diagnosis. I would hate to think that you are suffering because your doc is trying to treat the wrong disorder.
