Hi. I've taken lithium constantly for several years now, due to the chronic nature of the CHs. Now with lithium, I'm more or less episodic, treating the episodes with prednisone. The lithium gives me fine motor tremors in my hands, which can be made worse by too much caffiene. This can be embarassing in public sometimes, especially with styrofoam cups. The lithium is hard on your thyroid. I have to take thyroid med every day. I don't know if I will ALWAYS have to take it, or just as long as I'm on the lithium. Since I've been on it so long, I'm looking to get off some day, but it has worked, so I am unsure.Anyway, good luck!
