I get a little twitching every now and then after episodes. I have chucked it to stress. I have been fortunate then not to experience the type of attacks that you describe, at least yet (in 19 years). I feel for you. Very good description too.
The temperature thing - Have you tried ice packs strategically palced around your head? This may help, as a few poeple have conveyed to me in the past. Mine got worst when I did that, but one never knows until we try it.
