For the past 15 years I have had bouts of intense pulsating, shooting pain behind the eye/temple on one side of my head. I usually get four to five bouts a day for a week or so and then do not experience the symptoms for another few months. Since the attacks only last at the most a minute..could these be cluster headaches ? All the liturature I have read indicates that cluster headaches last at least 10 minutes. The pain really scares my husband who watches me go from happy and chatty to clutching my head and complete silence until the bout is gone. Since I have no warning of these attacks I am afraid I will crash my car if I am driving and this happens. Does anyone have any idea of what this may be if not cluster headaches ?
