Hi everyone. This is my first post. I was just recently diagnosed with CH this week. However, I have been suffering for several years now. I am a 28 year old male. I have to tell you, I was pleasantly shocked to find a whole site dedicated to CH. I never imagined CH were so popular. I am at the end of a cycle(hopefully) as I write this.
I had been previously misdiagnosed with sinusitis and migraines and actually went through a rather unpleasant surgery for the sinusitis. So, I have to say it feels good to finally have the right diagnosis.
The doctor who diagnosed me with migraines prescribed Imitrex, which I have mixed feelings about. It seems to work if you catch it in time, but if the Demon is present, I think the Imitrex takes much too long, if it works at all.
I have just started Depacote, two days ago. I have had two attacks since then, but they seem to have been milder. I'm not sure if that is the Depacote working or just being at the end of a cycle. Has anyone had any success using Depacote? Other maintenance prescriptions? Secondly, are the Imitrex injections more effective? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
