I do not get auras with CH but I do get them as a precursor to migraine. I went to a pain clinic for CH and they said I have six distinct types of migraine (whatever that means) but aura only occurs once or twice a year. I lose my vision completely except for peripheral, I have to stop driving or doing anything that requires precision, then as it fades I get a bitch of a headache. HOWEVER if I take a strong dose of Ibuprofen as soon as the aura begins the headache is much less severe.
Unfortunately this does not work with CH. That is a beast unto itself.
