I was just dicharged from the Hospital partly due to overuse of Imitrex shots. They were never designed for Cluster People, but hey they work.
More than 2-3 a day can have bad side effects that you may not notice right away. ASK your Dr.
My cycle went from two a day, easy to manage with Imitrex to 3, then 4, then every four Hrs.
I would hold out as long as I could but when the BEAST got so bad I would reach for the shot.
I'm now on Sansert until I can taper off, already I'm down to two 2mg. tabs. Sansert's a tough drug with it's own problems but I'm sleeping thru the night for the first itme in weeks and that helps a lot.
