I had something like that happen yesterday. I had at least an hour's warning before the headache became full-blown, but when it hit it was one of my worst. It seemed to last forever, and left trailing shadow-pains for several hours, and a "hangover" feeling for the rest of the night. Then 12 hours after the peak, the shadows came back and hung around for a while, but never became full-blown. The good news (I hope) is that I did not have an attack today, for the first time in a while. When this current bout started, they were one headache every two days. Then they snuck up to one a day, until today. So I hope they are backing down finally, and I hope they do the same for you.
