Dear Chris,
I've been chronic for nearly four years now, and have
been taking Imigran jabs since June 96 on a very regular
basis. Normally a minimum of one per day, frequently
rising to three for short periods.
I haven't had side-effects that I'm aware of, other
than a slight sensitivity to heat (eg. coffee, or getting
getting into the bath). I know that this is the
only thing that has managed to keep me going, so I'm
not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
I would suggest that to take them when you feel you need
them, and don't worry about any other effects. If you're
still worried I know a lot of people take half the dose
by using the injection part manually. This obviously
keeps the cost down, and seems to work fine for most.
I know I couldn't do that, and, since the nice NHS is
paying, I haven't got to consider the expense to me,
which is fortunate.
Hope this helps.
Simon
