Larry,
This is going to sound sooooo stupid. Try drinking 8 oz of water every 30 minutes, or at least every half hour. Margie suggested it and many of us poor folks have broken the cycle with it. The price is right! See Dr. Jerry's Water Therapy . . . posting. I had one CH late in the day, the first day I tried it. But after that, only shadows of pain. I'm now free of any CH for 8 days. I stay away from dairy products (use soy milk on my cereal . . . tastes the same to me), too much salt, caffeine, and MSG (Chinese food etc.) Also, someone was recommending "Migraine Ice". A new product otc that is about 8 bucks for 3 or 4 adhesive patches. But since you said heat helps you (like it does me . . . I wrap a fairly wet towel around a heating pad . . . it saves on the water bill), the cold ice pack will probably not be your salvation. Just keep reading the postings, and something is bound to be posted that might help you. Good luck.
Steve W
