Yes, I've been there. I get the beast on both sides, usually not at the same time. But when I was chronic I went through a period where the left side would ease up and the right side would kick in and be worse. That went on all night. O2 wouln't touch it and I ended up at a pain clinic. The neuro thought little of O2 for CH and "cured" me with lithium. I did all the prelim stuff and ordered a 3 month supply. Meantime had an MRI and that night, no HA. Never started lithium and was in remission for about 1 1/2 years. Of course they're back but episodic, seldom more than an 8. I have to be very careful with food when in an episode. No MSG, chocolate, some cheeses and stuff with a lot of preservatives. Good luck.
