Enough said about ignorant physicians. It is a real problem for us.
On a positive note, in my case when the cluster headaches increase in
frequency and duration (several hours long instead of 45 min. to an hour),
they are peaking out and will slowly diminish and go away for a couple
of years or so. Usually in allergy season (I get severe hay fever) and
during stressful times the cluster headaches return for 6 to 8 weeks. I
hope your niece will have long remissions. Sometimes the headaches cease
indefinately. Try to find an understanding physician. Sometimes a family
doctor willing to do some research is all it takes, though a specialist to
rule out any kind of disease is the best place to start. Prayers for you, Rich
