A little self pity never hurt anyone. The loss of a loved one is a terrible thimg but time will ease that pain. I too went from episodic to chronic and now episodic again so there is hope. I have (figuratively) looked down the barrel of the gun many times but knowing there will be pain free days, weeks, months or maybe years? (nah) has kept me going.
