I use a headband and refridgerator magnets. Put them on pressure points (move around if it hurts there) and it gives me something to do. Don't know if it ever helped, but it kept me busy until the meds could work.

I'm really not being snippy. When a ha hits the first thing I grab is a headband. While the O2 is trying to work I stuff magnets under the headband. It seems to lessen the pain some.

I've told this to a few people lately, so if you've heard it - I'm old forgive me. My hubby came back from Venezuela with a "home remedy" cure. Banana peels. Put the gooey side under a headband and wear them around all day. Now, I will tell you one thing -this is NOT a fashion statement and if you try it STAY AT HOME. But, alas, at the end of the day, I still had the HA, but I had a crowd of admiring fruit flies. Guess you just can't win them all.
