Bernie,
I've fought the beast most of my 59 years and, yes suicide has crossed my mind many times. I've even devised the perfect way, painless, quick and undetectable. But what about the aftermath? I would not be around to enjoy the CH free times and I would put an incredible load of guilt on my family and friends. This I know first hand. On Sept. 16, 1998, my best friend put a .357 Magnum in his mouth and pulled the trigger. While his pain was not CH, the aftermath is the same. The guilt doesn't let up much over time and there isn't a day that I don't think about him and what I could have done for him. The "what ifs" die slowly and the reminders are many, I will go to my grave wondering if only... No, suicide only stops the pain for one individual, the pain you leave behind can not be measured.
Good luck and remission for all.
