D3?, what happened to Calcium Citrate

I started the D3 regime almost 2 years ago while in a very bad cycle with the hardest hits and the longest time in cycle. It took about 2 weeks before I felt any change, and then it was a very slight drop in pain levels. I went out of cycle (this being the longest cycle yet) about a month later. I have continued the regime, and think I missed one entire cycle (my norm was one major cycle a year lasting from 6 weeks up to 5 months on this last one. I have had one other 2 year remission years ago while not on the D3).
Now at my 2 year mark I am experiencing some weird symptoms. I have had  quite a few days where I wake up with a dull standard headache which lasts all day long, I have had three times in the last 6 weeks where I have had this dull HA then I start to feel terrible where I break out in a cold sweat feel very nauseous then vomit.
When I started on this regime I remember that Calcium Citrate was needed to allow your body to absorb the D3 ( I haven't been checking the board for the 2 years as I was doing so well) but now when I checked it looks like the calcium citrate is not listed in the regime any more, why is this? and should I cut out the calcium?
In the last week I have started to get some really bad shadows and am very worried the beast might be coming back.
The last blood test I had (6months ago) had my level at 120.
Sorry this post is all over the place, but sure would like some feedback.

Sorry I should have also included my regime which is 15,000 iu D3, 6,300 calcium citrate,  a multi vitamin which contains Vit K 30 mcg, magnesium 50mg, baron 150mcg.
I stopped taking the fish oil about a year ago. How important is this?

Hey Jerry,

Thanks for the update.  I selected the Kirkland brand Mature Multi because it contained a better balance of the cofactors and a little less calcium (220 mg) than the original calcium citrate.  I still suggest a minimum of 400 mg/day magnesium in addition to the Mature Multi and Omega-3 Fish Oil.

I've also added a 3-month course of vitamin B 50 and daily vitamin K2. 

I added the vitamin B 50 at the suggestion of Dr. Stasha Gominak, MD.  She's a neurologist in Tyler TX who has been prescribing a vitamin D3 regimen very similar to the anti-inflammatory regimen we take for her patients with sleep, chronic pain and headache disorders.  The only real difference is she adds the 3-month course of vitamin B 50.

The following photo illustrates the supplements by brand I take.  The vitamin B 50 is not shown.

As you're still having headaches and you're taking plenty of vitamin D3, I'd suggest you start the 3 month course of vitamin B 50 and resume the Omega-3 Fish Oil.

Hey Batch,
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my post.  I would also like to thank you for all the time and effort you have put into your research in looking for a cure for all us CH'ers. I have tried everything from of course the medical route with verapamil, depacote Etc, to  psychedelics, but this is the first time I have started to feel like I might have this thing under some control. THANK YOU.
To bring you up to date, After posting I starting going thru all the old posts and watching the teaching video about sleep being so important ( I have had sleep issues my entire life, but I do believe they got worse after getting CH, I was thinking, has anybody done any research into how many CH'ers have sleep disorder as well?)
Before reading your reply I added Fish Oil 1200 mg, Magnesium 400 mg, and B-12 1000 mg. I continued getting bad shadows for a day and a half, then had a full blown 7-8 kip (you think you remember how bad it is, but you really don't!!!) I had to take a Imitrex injection to get out of it. However, since that one attack, nothing, bless full nothing. So I guess I proved to myself the importance of all co factors.
After reading your reply I have discontinued the Calcium Citrate and will change the B-12 to B-50 next time I'm at the store.
Last night while fixing dinner I realized I was having a CH but it was so removed that unless I stood still I couldn't really feel it. So I think I also now understand
why you have been calling this a anti-inflammatory regimen because I also remember that same feeling a few times while on pregnazone.
I don't have my lab tests here but do have a meeting with my Dr in mid July when I plan on getting all my D levels, I will then complete your survey.

Hey Jerry,

Thanks for the wonderful update and the kind words...

I do recall how bad a Kip-7 hurts...  I had one a few days ago...  You see, as my wife says...  I'm really not that smart... just persistent...

I'm a chronic CH'er so every couple of months I stop taking this regimen to see how long it takes to burn through my 25(OH)D reserves to the point where I get hit...  My wife thinks this is stupid... 

That said, I've found it only takes me a week to burn through my 25(OH)D reserves from a starting serum concentration around ~ 80 ng/mL, by not taking any supplemental vitamin D3 or the rest of this regimen...  until I get slammed.

Doing this also gives me the opportunity to test vitamin D3 loading strategies to see what works best (most rapidly) to elevate my 25(OH)D to a CH pain free state...

I've plenty of oxygen handy if needed and oxygen therapy with hyperventilation is very effective as an abortive... like 3 to 4 minutes to a pain free state... so this isn't a big deal...

Jerry there's a great video that batch put up on the neurologist that specialises in sleep disorders and head pain, its opened my eyes up.
I know now that sleep is my biggest trigger ( and a beer)
I recently went fishing, and extended our time out to fishing thru the night till day break, got home, got a quick 2 hours sleep, back up and had another full day !  that night, while I should have been absolutely shattered, I couldn't really sleep,  then the shadows came on real thick !
it took me a week to get back to my sleep routine, when I did, the shadows disappeared.  This has happened to me on three or four occasions over the last 6 months or so. Im on batches regime, so for the last 12 months, shadows are as bad as it gets,  But the relationship between sleep and my ch's are definitely linked.
