Going to Try Botox, But need help!!!!!
Jun 6th, 2012 at 10:16pm

Hello,
My Dr. thinks I need to try the Botox now since all else has failed. The mayo clinic is 1200 miles away. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a Doctor in Montana that can perfom the Botox Injections? This would be better than putting on all the miles.
Thank You...

Is your doc susggesting that you need a specialist? Hard to imagine that any neurologist could not do the job.

It's important that you are satisfied that, in fact, all of the common meds & combinations, which you see mentioned here, have been tried. We have often seen treatment failures because of inappropriate meds, dosing, duration of trials, etc.

If you don't want to outline your treatment history here, check your experience against the PDF data, below.

I had a local neurologist perform botox injections  for me at his recomendation.  I had like 4 or 5 series done about 4 months apart each.  It didn't help me.  But that doesn't mean it couldn't help you but we don't hear to much botox success here.  I was told after the first set of injections not to expect anything to happen because it needs to build up in your system.  So beware that you may be looking at repeated trips to the Mayo Clinic if you go the botox route.  Good luck in your decision.
