I really need some good advise
Jun 1st, 2012 at 2:20pm

As some here know I am still a firefighter, well went on a call yesterday and ran into a fellow clusterhead. He has only recently been told by his doc he might want to try Oxygen. He did not give a perscription though. He has been on Imitrx for years. He also did not know we all exist! I dont want to overwhelm him with to much info at once, but am going to try to get him to come here for help. He was so bad that he couldnt even hold himself upright. I never realized how bad it was for someone else watching a Massive attack before. Rode them out myself but never watched one go full blown as a bystander. Please any advise would be helpful. by the way I came off the cronic list about a year ago and started my new cycle of fun about a week ago. so far mine have not gone beyond a 7, but i have Oxygen to ride it out. Please help me help him he seems like a really nice guy and desperately needs help. Thanks for advise in advance.

oh by the way CHenz I am sorry I havent been around for target practice, I will try to do better.

Seeing some one else get hit for the first time is like a blow to the gut.  It hurts the soul.  Just try to offer him as much information as he is receptive to.  Start slow.  There is a lot of information, and not everything works the same for everybody.  Just really understanding what he is going through is big help.

Triptans cause increased number of hits and increased intensity.  Learn it, believe it, live it.  I use triptans as the absolute LAST RESORT when treating my CH.&&

Ghost darlin', watching some one go through a hit is almost harder than getting hit yourself. The only thing you can do is stand back when you need to, stop his fist from going through a wall, and be there when he is ready. I know you don't know him but sometimes a stranger can be the best of friend in the time of serious pain. Keep strong, keep in touch with him, and advise him the best you can. You been around long enough that you know the do's and don'ts of this game. Being able to warn him of triggers, traps, and tricks will be your best bet. Wishing the best of luck to you. Luck and love.

Point him here and to CB.com .

Secondly, point him to Batch'es Vit D. regimen.  It is helping a lot of people.

Just being there for him and caring about him is a big help.  We all know what it is to have people try to "help" us who have no idea what is going on.  To have someone who actually understands is beyond value.  I agree, seeing a hit is much worse to me than actually going through one.  Glad you are there for him.
