Hello and Thanks to CH.com
May 4th, 2012 at 8:23pm

Hello,

Although this is my first post on CH.com, I am constantly on the site during a cycle.  I am an episodic CHer for the past 20+/- years since I was a teenager with cycles lasting 6 to 8 weeks sometimes slightly longer.  I have had cat scans and other tests from multiple doctors without a true diagnosis over the years - the docs said the headaches were sinus related.  It wasn't until 8 or 9 years ago during a cycle that I was desperate for answers and found this website.  Using the cluster quiz I  diagnosed myself - It was like I hit the jackpot.  I have been a consumer of the site rather than a poster on the site.

After I found the site and self-diagnosed, I found a neuro and the neuro has been pretty good with meds.  He also offered the O2 prescription in the past and I never used - don't ask me why b/c the stuff works most of the time.  I think this round with the beast ended about two to three weeks ago but still have not tried the beer test.

My normal routine during a cycle was pred, verapamil and Imitrex  injections.  Went into the neuro this time and I told him I wanted to try the O2 since the imitrex is very expensive.  The O2 has been great along with suggestions of Red Bull or other energy drinks but I believe I owe it to Batch's cocktail of vitamins as seen on Medication message board.  This vitamin cocktail cut my cycle time from 6 to 8 weeks to about 3 weeks.  Batch's post is very long but worth the read for anyone who suffers from CHs.

Thanks again to folks who run the site.  It has been a life saver.

Glad you stuck your head in Mims, here's hoping Batch's regimen makes the beast a distant memory for ya! Wink

Hey Mims,

Welcome aboard and thanks for the kind words...  The anti-inflammatory thread is an ongoing saga of CH'er experience with this regimen spanning the last 16 months...  I'm very happy this regimen is working for you...

My only advise at this point is stay on it...

Take care,

V/R, Batch

You love lots of things if you live around them. But there isn't any woman and there isn't any horse, that’s as lovely as a great airplane. If it's a beautiful fighter, your heart will be ever there

Thanks Batch and Joe.
Given the decreased length of my cycle, I don't have any desire to stop the regimen b/c the beast could come back at any time.
