Hello...as I bang my head.
Apr 13th, 2012 at 11:47am

My name is Michael and I have been suffering these headaches since February of 2011. I am currently stationed in Memphis, Tennessee (US Navy). I am a cancer survivor. I lost my right kidney and part of my right lung in October of 2010. My recent episode has lasted since the middle of February of this year. I just had 31 Botox injections last Friday and since i have had multiple headaches. I have been to the ER several times for a good 'ol shot of dilaudid. It seems to be the only thing that helps. I have Sumitriptan injections (6mg) but it seems that the effects of the shot are not what they use to be. HELP!!!!!!!

I'd also like to know how much research you've done since feb. of last year.

Please be careful with the narcotics.  They can and DO cause rebounds and that is not what you need at all.

Have you looked into pure oxygen as an abortive?  If I can get on it early..at the first twinge..I can abort a headache in less than 10 mins most times.   Oxygen is cheap, safe, has no side-effects and it works.  Please look at the links to the left of here and read the oxygen tab in yellow to familiarize yourself with what you'll need.

Welcome to the board, this is the link Linda is talking about:

Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

Oxygen has all but eliminated my use of Imitrex, (sumatriptan injections) as it's just as fast, effective, really cheap, and no side effects. Definitely worth checking out.
