I've had fun with scammers like this.

I've listened to what they've said, asked them for their web site, then explained how their web site has gaping security holes and asked them for their credit card details to fix the problem, all they need to do is to give me the root password for their web server. They put the phone down quick.

Another time I let them go through their explanation of why they thought my PC was infected, then explained that I'm the chief security officer for a major IT company. They put the phone down quick.

The best was when I explained that I was so worried about my laptop that I put it in the dishwasher to clean it from the viruses that were on it and I was eager for them to help me fix it. They put the phone down quick.

Eventually they stopped calling me, I can't imagine why.
