In a perfect world, all medical personnel would immediately provide lots of O2 to Cluster Headache sufferers. In my world, they don't.

Boy, Marc, did that strike a nerve. I went to one of my neuro's yesterday (sympathetic but not a headache specialist) and had to explain to her, twice, about equipment and high flow O2 needs. Her reply was: we've seen CH patients put on high flow O2 to no effect. When I asked her what the flow rate was, she said 10lpm. I told her many of us find anything less than 15lpm was ineffective, quoted some of Batch's pilot studies, and was met with amused indifference. Sigh. lance

Oh, I was talking about Churchill talking about it over dinner afterwards...but, if it was already disclosed, no breach. Got it

My fault, Lauren.  Mentioning dinner at Chequers made it sound like dining at the Savoy or Dorchester.  Chequers is the official country residence of the P.M. in Buckinghamshire, I guess kind of like our Camp David.

It had been hours since they passed through the Straights of Gibralter, which is essentially the coast of Africa.  That was a tense time, had Spain joined the Axis Powers, and it was a great relief to get that many men through in such a large operation.

Lauren

I use welder's O2.  I rent my tank, which stands about 4' high.  I bought my regulator four years ago through this website, that goes to 15 lpm (higher is now recommended.  This cost me about $25 to $30.

I purchased my non-rebreather mask (Clustermask - there is a newer/better one out how) here that  included the tubing, bubbler - the whole nine yards for less than $30 ( I think).

My rental tank costs me $56.00 per year.  My refills cost me $17 to $18 per refill.

It works perfectly.
