Ginger Tea and Honey
Jul 27th, 2010 at 11:59am

Hi everyone,
This is an old remedy just wondering how many people have tried using ginger and honey in tea. I sometimes will use ginger brew which can be purchased at any health food store it's nothing more than powdered ginger and sugar. It works good as a tea with honey. You can also get the ginger tea bags and add honey both work pretty good. I was diagnosed as having clusters mixed with migraines in 1983, but It seems to be more clusters than anything else. I rarely take any prescription drugs because they usually make matters worse for me (side effects), but I swear by my oxygen it's great stuff. As for the ginger and honey I've noticed that when taking it I still get the visit from the beast, but the kip only gets to maybe a 4 or 5 and the duration is shorter. As we all know the beast is different for everyone but I hope this remedy helps.

I've seen several posts about ginger helping people, both with attacks and shadows. May add that to my arsenal next cycle.

you know, someone else on this board (I can't remember who) swears by a teaspoon of powdered ginger in a cup of water a day....  I even went out and got some powdered ginger to start taking but never started it as there are some concerns in the literature about high doses of ginger in pregnancy.  It'll just have to be one of those things that I hold off of until after December!   Wink

A word of warning about ginger.  It also acts as a blood thinner, so if you are facing any type of surgery, you need to stop taking it just like any other drug you would stop for surgery.

As an aside, ginger in small doses is wonderful for nausea (I bake, so I always have ginger in the house).
