O2 Mask final piece of the puzzle!
Jun 30th, 2010 at 6:35am

LifeGas O2PTImask is like no other. I am 19 days into my first CH cycle and 10 days into O2 therapy. Like everyone I had to pursuade the ER doc and my primary care doc that high volume O2 was the right treatment. I was so sure it would work after reading about it here. Fitst I got 6 lpm and a regular mask. No help! Then I recevied a script for 12 lpm and a non-rebreather mask. Thought i was home free but the O2 provided brought a concentator that only produces 10 lpm and 85% O2 purity. We need 99.5% purity and at least 12 lpm. I finally receieved a non re-breather mask a regulator that got me to 15 lpm from my O2 provider 6 days ago. It helped but I had to tape over the vents to keep the air out, the bag was too small for each breath and it was impossible to get the bizaar shaped mask to seal tighly to my face. I used it for 4 days that way until my LifeGas O2PTImask finally came in the mail yesterday. My only complaint is that for a company that understands our pain, theny could have shipped it a little faster. Then UPS didn't leave it and I had to call and raise hell (I learned to do that a lot in the last 18 days) until they redelivered yesterday. The result? Heaven on earth! The bag is bigger and durable so it is less likely to leak. The mask seals 100% to my face with only a little pressure, my abort was in 12 minutes and 100% rather than 20 minutes and still shadows. Don't wait. It you are on O2 or if you are getting it, order your LifeGas O2PTImask from this web site now and have it when the O2 arrives. $29.00 and hassle free. And if you need any advice on where to get what you need for anthing about O2 contact Pete Batcheller [pete.batcheller@verizon.net]. He is a fellow CH sufferer and man does he know 02. Thanks Pete! Today I own the Beast. He's at my knees begging for his life...but his days are numbered as I'm med free for 3 days and 3 days from dosing! Jay from Baltimore...

If you don't like the mask, use the mouthpiece.

That's some great news. You're a poster child for why we hype HOW oxygen is used is so critical to your abort times. And Pete...yeah...the guy knows his 02!

I love to read the smell of success. Give the beast a good O2 kick.

Listen, and understand. That terminator is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear... 'The Terminator' AKA CH
