Well John,

No one calls it a cure, but it's looking to be a very effective, fast and low side effect risk form of treatment.  It's still got a long way to go before getting approval, but I'm hopeful for all clusterheads sake that the road is a short one.

Bromo is great and all, But how much will it cost? $50, $100 a dose? Belive this. If it works for most in one or 2 doses, that shit is gona cost out the ass. OR, they'll make it less effective(water it down) so to speak, so we have to buy alot of it. These drug companies dont want to cure you, they want to "patch you up"  There's no money in the cure. The money is in the medicine. I'm not trying to be negative, It's just stupid that maxalt and imitrex cost so much. And if this works even better, Its really gona cost.  I wouldn't mind at all to pay $200 or more to stop a 3 month cycle dead in its tracks. But thats not how it will work. Grin Wink
But we can hope!!   I'm just glad I have oxygen now, and some shrooms put up for the fall cycle. Wink

Wishing all of yall many PF days ahead.

   nate.

I can tell you I'm looking forward to the day the 'ol BOL hits the market!

Very high hopes here for it being the next quantum leap forward in prescription treatments for CH.

Remembering back to the years before Imitrex injections or other triptans existed, and when info about the benefits of hi flow/non rebreather O2 wasn't accessible (no internet), I feel like there have been great strides made.

But THIS - wooboy it could really be big.

I guess we shouldn't hold our breath for the BOL though. Well unless we've just sucked in some 100% O2.  Grin

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

I don't think it is patented, so if it gets approved under the orphan disease/drug laws and is available as a generic, the price of a course should be pretty modest.

Like the other hallucinogenics available, Bromo LSD does not "cure"....it can stop a cycle before it even starts and can kill one while in progress.  My cycle just ended and I give credit to only 2 rc seed doses.  No hallucinations, no side affects at all...just patience and they did the trick for a cheap price.

Rivea Corymbosa seeds were my KO punch, now D3 is the front runner!

Shaggy concurs Joe.  This could be a great, effective option through the professional medical world that some people choose.  People could still choose the seeds or fungus if it is more accessible or cheaper etc.  Options are good I believe?? Cool

I also share the skepticism that others have voiced about the costs etc.

Just a little aside, but merthergine (methylergonovine) which is sometimes used for post partum bleeding has also been used for chronic refractory cluster.  I'm not at all sure that it's still available in this country (US) or if it is just very restricted as they found that it can cause pulmonary and/or retroperitoneal fibrosis - bad stuff.
It is a derivative of LSD...

Not really - it is an ergot derivative (as is LSD, both are derived from ergot, not one from the other). The related drug that is a little more effective for our condition is methysergide maleate, but it carries the same kinds of side effects. It was very effective for me for a time, but the side effects scared the shit out of me.

You can't get it commercially anymore, but any compounding pharmacy can make it for you. It's still very legal, just not profitable. Wink

Posted on our sister/cousin site.  Wondered if anyone had information on where this testing is currently at?  Anything further being done or planned?
