"single cycle and never have another"

Anyone ever hear of this?  Here's why I ask.

7 years ago I had my first cycle.  I checked every possibility and it couldn't have been anything else.  It was very mild.  I could go through a headache and besides my red droopy eye no one would even know.  It hurt but only lasted like 10 minutes once a night or day if I drank.

One year later it came back for about a week and was pretty much the same and now nothing else 7 years later.  Every now and then I will feel like a small needle poking the back of my eye but not painful at all and nothing else.  So i am wondering if sometimes they don't return like some sites say?

Also on the side it happened on my eye doctor said I have a thinning of some part of the back of my eye(I am VERY near sighted).  Also in some of my pics the eye almost is slightly off centered compared to the other if you look close and my eyelid is always slightly dropped.  But its so slight that only I can tell.

I'm really just seeing if experience people on here can give me some information or understanding.

Heres a link.

The article is a general statement about CH but cannot exhaust the exceptions. Why we go crazy!

1. It's entirely possible, but not common, to have CH on such a limited "schedule", sometimes one attack in a lifetme!

2. But it's also possible to have cluster-LIKE headaches, i.e., they appear to be Clusters but are actually arising from one of dozens of other disorders which trigger symptoms which appear to be CH.

3. My GUESS is that the eye condition is not the source of your CH--but only a consult with a good headache specialist can help sort thru this question.

4. The core issue for many: so many docs, even neurologists, have such limited training and experience with CH that it often takes some time and multiple docs to really work thru to a solid diagnosis. Frustating, but that's the lesson in medical literature and from our collective experience, here.

I've actually looked at every other possibility and this is the only thing it could be.  I pretty much had every exact symptoms and the other options that they can be confused with I could rule out.  I'm 99% sure it was a cluster.

You might want to think about getting a bonafide diagnosis from a doctor who's qualified. Otherwise your "99% sure" plus $2 will get you a cup of coffee - not a Rx for some pretty effective drugs or O2.
