No Fram you're not misreading him. He will not back down from his statements that all newbies should try large amounts of OTC's...in case they are one of the lucky 2-3% it works for.

So Linda was wrong to suggest they try something like say 02..with a better then 70% success rate....and none of the internal organ damage that the OTC's cause....and as a moderator she probably shouldn't have posted at all.

(Disclaimer....I AM a moderator but am expressing only my own opinion. No other person or persons opinions are expressed or impied in this statement, your mileage may vary, some settling of contents naturally occurs during shipping and handling.)

Joe...(whose father recently spent a week in the hospital trying to recover from the internal bleeding in his stomach and bladder directly caused by excessive use of Ibuprofen)

Did you even read my posts?  In what post did I state that all newbies should try large amount of OTC's?

I took OTC's  for about 6-7 years.  They were effective.  Mostly in small quantities.  Sometimes not, ya know.  When one quit working, i moved on to the next.   Finally, they all quit working.  i had to go see a doctor.  Then I found this site.   Sometimes in life we don't do things in the most logical order.

So if I can help 3%.. so be it.  I Guess since OTC's DON'T  WORK, i must have been using some sort of ducking willpower....  I ran out of gas i reackon.

You people have a very good strong message here.   I believe it.
But, you dont  know everything.    Just believing something works can be very powerful...... even a tin hat.

Telling someone that something Does Not work is Negative.
Instead, a person could say "for most people it does not work"
And if you people dont understand that...... sorry.

FOR ME, otc's work only for shadows if that.  AND only Excedrine Migraine (although I buy generic), but boy do I have to watch often I take them because they cause some nasty residual HA's.  Therefore, I use sparingly.

Otherwise, OTC's work as well as one of these...

Why is it funny?  To the best of my knowledge, that cat has not had a CH since!
