O2 has arrived
Mar 30th, 2010 at 3:55pm

My O2 was delivered today.  Not long after I got a chance to take it for its first test drive.  Happy to report that it did seem to stem off the worst of the headache during the attack.  I only had a period of about 8 minutes of severe pain in right eye and right side of head.  This being day 90 I feel I can truly look forward to better days ahead.

Always keep this in mind as you have to use it: The idea is to SATURATE your blood with O2 as quickly as possible. Breathe deeply, exhale deeply, and keep the system closed, i.e., no outside air gets in when you're inhaling.

It just gets better. Never be without a full tank, preferably an M tank.

Yeah - I haul my "larger than an M tank" around with me everywhere.

"M or larger" is fine for home, but not for on the go.

Tom, it made my day to see you got the O2. For so many of us it is a life saver and giver. That's why we try so hard to make others understand.

One thing to keep in mind is, don't hesitate to get on the O2, the faster you start the better chance of aborting.

and do NOT wait for a Friday night to see that you are on empties and have to wait all week-end long to get them filled.   Check them all on a Wed.  Wink

I have never felt so stupid as I did once,  and only once when I realized I was in for a very long week-end without.  Roll Eyes

Sorry, didn't realize that we were limiting the discussion to portable tanks - figured that would be obvious - my mistake.

That is GREAT news. CH has all but lost its ability to scare me knowing I've got my 8 pack of E-Tanks in my garage. As others have said, time is of the essence. For me, faster on the 02, faster the beast is gone.

Congrats on the tank farm and the relief.  The more you work with it the better your aborts will get.

I love posts like this!!!

Where there is life, there is hope.
Where there is Oxygen, you must use proper caution.
So be safe, don't smoke while using O2. Kill the pain and not yourself.
