I live in Redondo Beach, Ca. I have Kaiser Permanente as my Insurance Carrier.

I have been dealing with these F-Tards all my life and every neuro i've been to has been a damn fool. They have even gone as far as to discontinue my Oxygen because they are so stupid they have no idea how it helps!

Anyways. I have seriously been to every Kaiser Neuro Doc in my area. I am not back to my general doc for help.

These stupid "Doctors" have given up on me. This is not me being upset at them, its the truth. I have never once had a doctor check on me, see if im alive or even listen to what i have to say. It is very frustrating and I wondered how any of your experiences are. They are only there to push me out as soon as i give them my co-pay. I have tried every med they suggest and when i suggest things based on research, they never listen.

My wife had this great idea. Ask you great peeps if you know of any great Kaiser docs that have changed your life. Do they care about you. Do they help or do you constantly educate them?

I would love nothing more than for someone to blow up kaiser. To live with this horrible condition and just suffer. Constantly suffer and have docs that could give to shi#ts about me, just boggles my mind.

Maybe im just hoping there is one kaiser doc out there that gives a shi@! Doubt it though.

I have Kaiser. My primary, Dr Dolnick, is in Modesto & my neuro, Dr O'Dell, is in Stockton.

I have ch and also some other TACs, and it was difficult to sort it all out and get me diagnosed, but my neuro has helped me tremendously, through high cycles & low cycles, and is available by telephone & email for problems.

It took awhile for me to get my oxygen because he wasn't sure I had ch. He had to sort out the other headaches. They were sorted & treated and there was still ch and that was when I got the O2.

I did get some flack for not demanding O2 from the start, but I was developing a working relationship and communication and taking care of one thing at a time.

Since I am chronic, I didn't need to worry about anything ending before it got sorted out.

I am happy with Kaiser. I have 2 caring Dr.s. Before them, I had the same kind of experiences you've had but with non-Kaiser.

You say they discontinued your O2? Was that because they changed your diagnosis to something else? It says right on their own website that O2 is used for cluster headaches.

Please don't blow up Kaiser.

I got lucky. My Kaiser GP had a brother in law with CH and diagnosed me fairly quickly. My original neuro, now retired, was relatively well educated on CH considering this was the early 1980's.

Being a member of Kaiser requires you be somewhat pushy....without being overly so! Don't be afraid to go over your docs head to "Member Services." Everytime I'd lose my temper and threaten to blow up the hospital, my wife would call member services and get what I needed.

It does come down to your individual doctor, so ask around, try to find either a knowledgeable doc, or a young open minded doc who'll listen to what you bring.

And Kaiser DOES recognize 02 for CH, take that complaint STRAIGHT to member services.

I have Kaiser HMO here in Colorado Springs and have been pretty blessed with them covering everything. i did have to get prior auth to see the specialist at the university hospital up in denver.
I do have to say however, they gave my friends problems when they were being seen at the Kaiser clinics.
So I guess it is just a matter of luck. I hope you get some help soon!
