Okay I know I'm evil but...

I am laughing my socks off here picturing Linda in a snow drift. Or actually, NOT picturing her! Should we be thinking about getting her a radio tag so we can find her? Or one of those cute little hats with an extendable flagpole and a brightly coloured pennant so Jimi knows where to dig? We need a contingency plan!

Yes but the kick back might bury her even deeper. I'm MUCH taller and I'd have a problem there too!

No no no no, you have it all wrong. After 4 years in upstate NY where 5 ft in a single snow fall was common, what Linda REALLY needs to ALWAYS, AT ALL TIMES, have keys or a strong piece of metal in her pockets so we can rent a metal detector to find her.

That's what we had to do when Clark lost the keys through the snowblower.....don't ask.

So Linda, always have metal and we will always find you

Having spent most of the first 17 years of my life living in and around Colorado Springs, I have spent my share of time in the snow and cold. I left in Aug of 64 for Marine Corp boot camp at San Diego ( Hot - No Snow ), on to Memphis and then Cherry Point, NC ( A little cooler in the winter but still not much snow ), and then to South Viet Nam ( HOT - NO SNOW ). In December of 67 I came back to the US on 30 days leave bofore returning to Nam for a voluntary 6 month extention ( Yup, I in advertantly volunteered to participate in the Tet Offensive!! Actually not one of my brighter decisions. LOL ). Anyway, my folks had moved to Fort Worth, Texas so I split my leave between Colo ( COLD - SNOW ) and Tex ( my brother and I played football in shorts, t shirts, and barefoot on Jan 1, 1968 ).

When I got discharged in June of 68 I flew to Colo to see all my friends for a few days and then came to Texas to see my folks and have been here ever since. I guess I've even come to see myself as a Texan and now cling firmly to the belief that " If God had wanted Texan's to ski he would have made bullshit white".
